Presents 25 full scholarships worth Rs.1.5 million each through “Young Business Leaders Scholarship”

Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS), one of the fastest growing education providers in Sri Lanka, in partnership with the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is presenting students the chance to win 25 full academic scholarships worth Rs.1.5 million each through the “Young Business Leaders Scholarship”.

Accordingly, any Sri Lankan student who is due to complete the Advanced Level (A/L) examination in 2021 from Commerce, Maths, Science and Arts streams are eligible to apply for this scholarship and obtain the chance to acquire a world-class qualification that readies them to face the challenges of tomorrow.

Young Business Leader’s Scholarship is a special scholarship programs offered by the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), widely known to be one of the best universities in the UK. The scholarship focuses on the outstanding children in the country and aims to provide them with a proper platform which will support their higher education objectives and realize their dreams. This unique opportunity will make them internationally recognized multi-qualified graduates in 3 years. These scholarships are given to study the most exclusive degree in the country, BA (Hons) International Business & Finance, which provides accreditations and exemptions from 10 professional bodies including CIMA, ACCA, CPA Australia and several others.

This is the second consecutive year ICBS and UWS have come together to carry out this scholarship programme having successfully given ten scholarships worth Rs.1 million each in 2020. Last year, the Scholarship Challenge was carried out in the months of July and August and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 350 students. They were given 4 different challenges to face through the exclusive Learning Management System of ICBS. The challenges helped to measure various attributes of their personalities including leadership skills, creative thinking, positive attitude, intuitiveness, and many others. After the meticulous screening process, ten 100% scholarships (5 each from the Colombo and Kandy Branches) were handed over to the deserving students. The ten finalists then participated at an interview which was conducted via ZOOM and evaluated by the Directors of ICBS and UWS.
