We believe that these values enable an environment that champions diversity and infuses passion to create a high-performance culture within our organisation where everyone can be their best selves.

For our geographically diverse customers, suppliers and partners – with whom we have developed strong and trusting partnerships over the decades – respect becomes the cornerstone of mutual understanding.

Q: How does a corporate’s commitment to continuous innovation help it to accumulate respect?
A: In fashion, staying relevant for retailers to thrive in a hyper-competitive market requires us to enable inspired, ‘future fit’ solutions. Having served world renowned fashion brands for over 50 years, it has been integral that we continuously invest in innovation with a platform for breakthrough ideas, artistic expression and creativity where new product developments are consistently in the pipeline.

Technology has played an accelerated role in fashion in recent years, impacting everything from how consumers discover brands and shops to completing a transaction. Changing consumer habits have carved out new end-to-end initiatives related to product design, production and shipping, transforming the entire fashion value chain.

Together with InQube – the global apparel innovation arm of Brandix – and our partnership with Accenture, which specialises in process innovation, we exceed limitations and go beyond boundaries.

Q: How does ‘corporate reputation’ give businesses a competitive edge?
A: Corporate reputation is often considered a business’ most valuable intangible asset and paves the way to unlock competitive advantage. For Brandix, at the core of this belief is trustworthiness and credibility, driven by the RITE values that define our day-to-day behaviour – be it with customers, suppliers or any other stakeholders.

The apparel industry has been at the forefront of the country’s development for decades. As one of the largest apparel exporters in Sri Lanka, it is our duty to preserve and ensure sustainability of the industry for all its stakeholders.

Q: How does social responsibility continue to be a part of the corporate respect equation?
A: As we win in the marketplace, we believe in delivering caring solutions for our people, the communities in which we serve and our planet. Social and environmental sustainability is sewn into the very fabric of our business operations and we believe that this is vital for corporate respect.

Our environmental sustainability journey began over a decade and a half ago, and is anchored to the elemental pillars of air, water and earth. Significant milestones in this journey include our factory in Batticaloa being certified as the world’s first ‘net zero carbon apparel manufacturer.’ We have now pledged to achieve net zero carbon across all our manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka by 2023.

As we uplift the living standards of those who live in our community, our projects address important issues such as access to clean water – today, over a quarter of a million people benefit from our water-related projects in Sri Lanka.
Further, to empower the next generation, we have many education programmes including the provision of school essentials for students up to Grade 5 and scholarship programmes for higher education.

Driven to consistently ‘Enable Inspired People to Provide Inspired Solutions,’ Brandix Lanka is passionate about pioneering innovative ‘future proof’ solutions that will revolutionise the retail fashion industry – whilst enhancing its contribution to Sri Lanka’s economic growth and development.
