SURVEY METHODOLOGY
Sri Lanka’s Most Respected Entities in 2026 survey was conducted by PepperCube Consultants in collaboration with LMD during March and April this year. The study was designed to identify the organisations that are most respected by Sri Lanka’s corporate community based on perceptions of leadership, performance and reputation.
The survey was based on a sample of 600 respondents comprising professionals at managerial level or above. Participants were drawn from organisations listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), the 2024/25 LMD 100 and Brands Annual 2025.
To ensure diversity and minimise organisational bias, no more than six respondents were selected from any single company – and participants weren’t permitted to nominate the organisation they were employed by at the time.
A structured questionnaire, developed by PepperCube Consultants and approved by LMD, was administered in English by trained enumerators. Interviews were conducted over a timeline of seven to 20 minutes with responses recorded electronically.
To minimise bias vis-à-vis the order, the sequence of evaluation attributes was rotated across interviews. And the data was subsequently cleaned, validated, coded and analysed prior to the final rankings being compiled.
For the overall Most Respected rankings, respondents were invited to nominate three organisations. A weighted scoring system was applied with five points awarded for a first place nomination, three points for a second place nomination and one point for a third place nomination. The aggregate weighted score determined each organisation’s overall ranking.
For the individual attribute rankings, respondents nominated one organisation for each attribute. The rankings were determined by the total number of nominations received under each category.
This methodology combines a structured sampling framework, weighted scoring system and robust data validation process to provide an objective assessment of corporate reputation among Sri Lanka’s business leaders.
