Announcing the launch of Phase II of Canterbury Golf Resort Apartments and Residencies

Homelands Skyline recently announced the launch of Phase II of the Canterbury Golf Resort Apartments and Residencies project. It is poised to be recognised as the largest residential development project in Sri Lanka.

The new development will comprise 1,200 residential units spread across 55 acres in Piliyandala-Kahathuduwa. The latest additions include 240 new apartments that constitute Canterbury Lexus Golf Resort Apartments and 158 Canterbury Golf Villas, which are complete with individual swimming pools.

As for the concept, the complex was designed by renowned architect Philip Weeraratne. He has been credited with perfectly encapsulating the Homelands Skyline luxury living experience.

Pioneering property developer Homelands Skyline has taken the real estate sector by storm with its rapidly growing portfolio of apartment and residency projects in myriad visually pleasing locations. The company believes that its ability to combine environmentally conscious designs and cutting-edge architecture is deserving of the reputation it has earned.

Canterbury Golf Resort Apartments and Residencies – which was launched in December last year – has become an increasingly sought after location to live and invest in.

The residential project is presently sold out and apartment availability stands at 10 percent, the developer notes, adding that investors in apartments and residences in the first phase have earned an ROI of between 30 percent and 50 percent over the past 18 months.

Canterbury Lexus Golf Resort Apartments and Residencies is expected to house 240 apartments across three new towers. Residents can expect to experience improved services that offer a higher standard of living compared to what was offered in the first phase.

The development also has penthouses for people who are looking to enjoy a super luxurious alternative.

The Canterbury Golf Villas are designed to promote an open plan design, and will have contemporary styled living rooms and private infinity pools.

And the owners of these apartments and villas will have access to more than 50 facilities and the freedom to enjoy the privileged solitude of their tastefully constructed residencies.

The new apartments aspire to meet residents’ innermost desires – be it to purchase a luxury state-of-the-art home or lifestyle investment. Canterbury looks to provide people with the dream homes they’ve yearned for through their investments. And as a bonus, this could well be considered a dream investment with a distinct edge.

Sharing his thoughts on the project, Homelands Skyline Chairman Nalin Herath says the developer has been able to maintain a solid growth trajectory despite the challenges posed by lockdowns, travel restrictions and the pandemic.

“Homelands Skyline also accomplished a groundbreaking feat by introducing Santorini Resort Apartments and Residencies in Negombo – which is positioned as Sri Lanka’s first theme park styled resort apartments and residences – earlier in the year,” he notes, pointing out that this was “in addition to the second phase of the Canterbury Golf Apartments and Residencies.”

Herath also explains that the company is witnessing an improvement in consumer sentiment and anticipates an increase in demand in the near future.

Construction of the new development is scheduled to commence in December and expected to be completed before the end of 2024.
