President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the journey of the consensual government over the past two and a half years represents a clear victory for people. He made this remark at the launch ceremony of the government’s Vision 2025.

The president further noted that forming a consensual government, which was a new political experience, was for the betterment of the country and its people.

He emphasised that the government will continuously commit itself to fulfil its responsibility towards the country and its people in the future, while taking forward the concept of consensual politics with a comprehensive understanding.
