The policy development plan of the current yahapalanaya unity government for the next eight years, Vision 2025 – A Country Enriched, was unveiled recently.

It proposes to build a strong economy through democracy and reconciliation, to bring about a change in the existing political culture. Sri Lanka will be transformed into a knowledge based market economy, which will be a hub in the Indian Ocean, according to the plan.

The occasion was graced by President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, who handed over the policy development plan to the youth after answering questions posed by them.
