The Bank of Ceylon Opens New Branches in Domagahawela and Sewanagala offering the Digital Banking Experience to Uva Province.
The Bank of Ceylon’s newest branches were opened at Domagahawela and Sewanagala in the Uva Province recently to add convenience together with the novel digital banking technology to customers in those areas. BOC Sewanagala was ceremoniously opened at the No. No.23, Danduma Junction, Sewanagala by the Minister of Public Administration, Management, Law and Order Hon. Ranjith Maddumabandara as Chief Guest and Member of Parliament, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Ananda Kumarasiri as Guest of Honor. The new Dobagahawela branch was also opened ceremoniously by Minister of Public Administration, Management, Law and Order Hon. Ranjith Maddumabandara as Chief Guest. The Bank’s Chairman President’s Counsel Mr. Ronald C. Perera, CEO/ General Manager Mr. Senarath Bandara, Deputy General Manager Sales and Channel Management Mr.C.Amarasinghe and Assistant General Manager Uva Province Mr. A.G. Sirinimal and his staff were present at both opening ceremonies of both branches. The new Dombagahawela branch is situated at the Main Street, Dombagahawela. Opening of these two new branches were carried out as a strategic move to add more convenience in terms of digital touch for its customers in the Uva Province. Managers of respective branches officiated these events and customers and well wishers of respective branches too attended these events.
Bringing in the digital aspect of banking to every nook and corner in the country the Bank is in the process of strategically spreading its technology to all its branches. These branches are also connected to the rest of the 631 branches through a centralized network thus allowing customers to transact real-time with any of the branches in the network spread across the country. Customers of Bank of Ceylon are digitally empowered to transact anytime of the day with its interconnected 24 x 7 operative ATM/ CDM and CRM network which consist of over 1071 customer service points spread across the country.
These two newly opened branches will offer a wide array of banking services to its customers such as current and local or foreign currency savings/ Fixed Deposit accounts, children’s and Senior Citizen’s savings accounts and saving plans, housing and personal loans, special loans schemes such as Thurunu Diriya, Enterprise Sri Lanka loans, education loans, Leasing and pawning facilities. Customers can also avail themselves of Debit or Credit cards, Micro and SME financing facilities and international money transfer/remittances services. These branches have the 24 hour self-serving “SmartZone” that includes a CRM (for Cash Deposits and Withdrawals) and ATMs so customers have the freedom to transact at their convenience anytime of the day.
