Addressing a gathering in Galle, Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratne revealed that the minimum standards for the provision of medical education will be gazetted within the next two weeks.

Adding that the standard regulations are currently being processed at the Legal Draftsman’s Department, he assured that the quality of medical education in Sri Lanka will not be compromised under any circumstance.

Furthermore, he stated that the present government is committed to protecting free healthcare and education.
