SriLankan Airlines – the flag carrier of Sri Lanka – won the ‘World’s Leading Airline to the Indian Ocean’ title for the third consecutive year at the World Travel Awards’ Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal.

World Travel Awards Founder Graham Cooke congratulated the airline, saying: “SriLankan Airlines has demonstrated a relentless drive to improve its services, and I am delighted that it has been acknowledged by both the travel trade and the public by being voted ‘World’s Leading Airline to the Indian Ocean’.”

In the South Asian region, SriLankan Airlines has a connectivity of 119 flights a week to 13 Indian cities, and operates to other cities such as Malé, Dhaka, Karachi and Lahore. Its network extends to the Middle East, the Far East, Europe and Australia.
