And our cement has been used in numerous landmark construction projects in Sri Lanka, serving as a testimony to its reliability and performance.

As part of its sustainability and social responsibility, INSEE Cement Sri Lanka is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting sustainability. Our goals include becoming greener, safer, more cost-effective, and positively impacting the environment and society at large – encapsulated in our Sustainability Ambition 2030.

Dependence on nonrenewable materials has been reduced, and our carbon footprint lowered by using byproducts and waste from other industries, aligning our product portfolio with international benchmarks to offer a more environmentally-friendly product.

Notable milestones include the launch of INSEE Sanstha Portland Composite Cement under SLS 1697 in 2021, positioned as Sri Lanka’s greenest cement and the first cement brand in Sri Lanka to be awarded the prestigious green certificate by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka.

And INSEE Sanstha was also the first brand to launch a product in compliance with the esteemed SLS 1697 Portland Composite Cement standard and received a gold certificate from the Ceylon Institute of Builders.

Q: And how does the brand look to adopt new technologies?

A: We have taken important steps to embrace digital transformation to gain a competitive edge and strengthen brand loyalty. INSEE Cement has an established online presence through websites, social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns, where we showcase the INSEE Sanstha identity, product portfolio and unique value propositions to a wider audience, improving brand visibility and reach.

Our e-commerce platforms and online ordering system will streamline the buying process, making it easier for customers to access and acquire desired cement products. Additionally, our digital channels facilitate prompt customer support and after sales service, enhancing the overall customer experience.

Through data analytics tools, INSEE is gaining valuable insights into customer preferences, market trends and competitors’ activities to make informed decisions, refine our branding strategies and develop targeted marketing campaigns.

Q: What are the future plans for the brand?
