24th PRESIDENTIAL EXPORT AWARDS 2019/20 & 2020/21

HSBC EDPL WINS SECTOR AWARD AT PRESIDENTIAL EXPORT AWARDS

At the 24th Presidential Export Awards, HSBC Electronic Data Processing Lanka (HSBC EDPL) was recognised as the Best Exporter in the Business Process Management/Knowledge-Based Process Management sector for 2019/20 and 2020/21.

Owing to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Export Development Board (EDB) held a combined awards scheme for financial years 2019/20 and 2020/21 on the 26th of November 2021 at the BMICH under the patronage of His Excellency President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Chief Administrative Officer Thariq Dole and Financial Controller Nilanga Dhanushka Kurukulasuriya accepted the award on behalf of HSBC EDPL.

“Securing this award was a considerable achievement for us. It is our third consecutive win in this category. This year’s award is even more significant against the background of two challenging years in 2020/21,” commented Managing Director of HSBC Electronic Data Processing Lanka, Niluka Fernando.

“HSBC is renowned for our commitment to creating an inclusive work environment where every individual is valued and allowed to grow both personally and professionally. We believe our HSBC EDPL family has earned this recognition as a result of their market-leading expertise, hard work and commitment to quality. This award also reflects the value addition HSBC EDPL makes to Sri Lanka’s economic development,” he added.

The Presidential Export Awards are the highest form of recognition given to organisations for their contribution towards the Sri Lankan economy. The top contributors are selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) based on multiple criteria.
