COYLE and JETRO Launch the Sri Lankan Corporate Health & Productivity Awards 2025

The Chamber of Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE), in collaboration with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), officially launched the Sri Lankan Corporate Health & Productivity Awards (SLCHPA) 2025 at a press event held at Shangri-La Colombo on 13th August.

Now in its third year, the SLCHPA recognises Sri Lankan businesses that champion employee wellbeing, workplace sustainability, and productivity excellence. This year marks a significant milestone, with JETRO joining as a strategic partner, bringing valuable international benchmarking, expertise, and global best practices to the programme.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Manjula Wijesundera, Chairman COYLE  said, “The Corporate Health and Productivity Awards is more than just a recognition programme, it is a movement to inspire all organisations to take proactive steps towards better workplace health and holistic productivity. If you have a balanced lifestyle that also leads to a Happy Family Life.”

The awards also directly support COYLE’s broader mission to foster a better employment environment in Sri Lanka, ensuring that companies place people at the heart of their growth strategies.

This year’s Principal Sponsor, Sampath Bank, underscored its commitment to supporting impactful initiatives, expressing its intention to further invest in building a thriving workforce as the foundation of a thriving economy. The bank conveyed its pride in partnering with COYLE to recognise organisations that are leading the way in promoting health, wellbeing, and productivity.

Organising Committee Chair Mr. Mihiru Perera added, “To the corporate leaders: step up and show the way. Let your brands be recognized not only for what they make or sell but for how they treat their people. Your actions can carry this story far and wide, inspiring businesses across the island to put wellness first and, together, shape a healthier, more productive nation.”

Participation in the SLCHPA offers corporate tangible benefits, from boosting employer branding and employee engagement to demonstrating leadership in sustainable workforce management. Winners gain both national recognition and the opportunity to be profiled as case studies in health and productivity excellence.

Applications for the 2025 awards are now open. Corporate leaders, HR heads, and senior management teams are encouraged to apply and showcase their efforts in building better workplaces.

Application forms can be downloaded from www.slchpa.com. Submissions will close on 31st October 2025.

The SLCHPA 2025 is a call to action for every Sri Lankan organisation to commit to healthier employees, stronger workplaces, and a more productive nation.
