RIC CONTINUES TO YIELD WORLD-CLASS STUDENT PERFORMANCES WITH FIRST CLASS HONOURS AND WORLD PRIZES

Royal Institute of Colombo’s (RIC) longstanding affiliation with the University of London (UoL) has once again resulted in world-class student performances. The school saw 26 outstanding graduates obtaining First Class Honours in the May/June 2023 UoL examinations including world prizes in the Economics, Management and Finance degree programmes.

World prizes for academic excellence

The world prizes that were awarded to RIC graduates serve as a testimony to their exceptional academic achievement.

In fact, the awarding of these prizes is further evidence of the high standards of education that RIC students receive, and a reflection of its commitment to providing students with the opportunity to excel and achieve their full potential.

RIC’s University of London degree programmes are offered under the academic direction of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which is consistently ranked among the top universities in the world. This affiliation provides RIC students with access to world-class teaching and learning resources, and prepares them for success in their chosen careers.

RIC also recently expanded the scope of degrees offered by the University of London with the addition of degrees in Political Science and International Relations. These new degree programmes will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the political and international landscape, and prepare them for careers in government, diplomacy and other fields.

Recognition and quality assurance

Further to RIC’s international university affiliations and accomplishments, its ongoing commitment to excellence – with official recognition and approval from the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and University Grants Commission (UGC) for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biomedical Science, and Bachelor of Business (Honours) in International Economics and Finance – is noteworthy.

These approvals testify to the high quality and rigorous standards maintained in every programme RIC offers to ensure that each undergraduate receives an education of utmost value and recognition.
