Q: In what ways do awards enable businesses to strive for betterment, in your assessment?

A: Awards and accolades encourage a business to continue its good work, whilst signalling to local and global stakeholders about the company’s potential.

Janashakthi Life has been continuously revolutionising the insurance sector for over 27 years, and journeys forward to become a force to be reckoned with. Our commitment to excellence has been recognised by many accolades over the years.

Some of our recent achievements include being recognised as one of the top 10 fastest growing Sri Lankan brands by Brand Finance across all industries for the year 2021; being placed among the top 50 Most Respected entities for the year 2021 by LMD; and being accredited with the Great Place To Work certification last year.

Janashakthi Life was also crowned Best Domestic Life Insurer (2022) and won the Best Mobile App of the Year (2022) award at the Insurance Asia Awards 2022.

In addition, Capital Finance International (CFI.co) recognised us as the Best Life Insurer Sri Lanka (2022) while we were bestowed with the title of Best Life Insurer in Insurance Spreading for the year 2021 at the ICC Emerging Asia Insurance Awards 2021.

Q: How does a company’s corporate image, brand presence and recognition resonate with its stakeholder relations?

A: Corporate image, brand presence and awards cement an organisation’s commitment to staying true to its corporate purpose. Awarded by the internationally acclaimed Capital Finance International (CFI.co), this recognition affirms our significant contribution to the growth of the local economy and value addition for all our stakeholders –

Furthermore, our impressive brand value growth in 2022 resulted in us being listed as one of the fastest growing Sri Lankan brands in the recent Brand Finance report on Sri Lanka’s ‘top 100’ most valuable and stron-gest brands. We were the only insurance brand to be listed in the ‘top 10’ honour roll.

Janashakthi Life was also recognised glo-bally as the Domestic Insurer of the Year and our mobile app won the Mobile App of the Year award at the Insurance Asia Awards 2022. This was on top of us bagging the Best Strategies for Insurance Spreading for the Year 2021 at the recently held 3rd ICC Emerging Asia Insurance Awards 2021.
