Metropolitan launches the latest Acer computers powered with Intel Optane Memory

The most advanced line up of Acer products powered by Intel optane memory was launched in Sri Lanka recently by Metropolitan Computers, the premier IT retailer for the world’s best brands. Acer’s top of the line gaming range of laptops and desktops along with the newest range of Spin, Switch and Swift laptops were released to the local market during the launch.

Marketing Director of Acer Pte Ltd, Ms.Li Shi Chia shared some of the key features and upgrades of these products which include overall higher performance  and intelligent retrieval and document management.

The main feature addition of the Acer range was the inbuilt Intel Optane Memory. Intel Optane Memory is focused on speeding up the device with reduced delays and performance lags. With Intel Optane Memory you can accelerate what you do on the device, without any hitches. Promising reduced performance bottlenecks, Intel Optane Memory can recognize user habits, most retrieved docs and software, and keep them ready for use, thereby cutting down on delays and processing times.

These latest Acer products are available at any Metropolitan M Center showroom located island-wide in Colpety, Nugegoda, Battaramulla, Wattala, Kalutara, Negambo, Anuradhapura, Jaffna and Kandy.  Backed by 60 years of Metropolitan service excellence, Metropolitan M Center showrooms include a dedicated service division with an expert technical support team ready to educate on any product with reliable technical assistance at the showrooms itself.

Amongst the computers launched was the Predator Orion 9000, which is a pre-built desktop with specs known as ‘overkill’. With a powerful graphics processor coupled with ample RAM and storage along with a Core i9 processor, the Predator Orion 9000 is perfect for heavy content creation users and high performance gaming.

In the Predator range, Orion 5000, Helio 500 and Nitro 5 were also launched at this event. Orion 5000 has a powerful graphics processor and core i7 processor matching more mainstream gaming requirements. A much more cost-effective build than the 9000 series, the Predator Orion 5000 is perfect for the average normal user as it can still run any games released in the next few years at maxed out settings.

The Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop, has a powerful graphics processor with ample RAM and storage options and a Core i9 processor. The slim and sleek laptop is equally powerfully and efficient in performance offering a desktop level gaming experience on the go.

The Nitro 5, geared towards lighter gaming is an equally powerful lightweight laptop with Core i7 processor. Only second to Helios 500, Nitro 5 offers adequate performance on the move.

Two high resolution, curved ultra widescreen monitors were also unveiled at the launch; the XZ350CU and the XR382CQK. The monitors include DTS sound and high speed screen refresh at a rate of 75 Hz and 200 Hz. The IPS1 technology lets you see clearly from nearly any angle. This monitor is more geared towards content creators, but it does have the benefit of FreeSync which will pair very well with AMD cards.
