Q: In your view, which segments of the IT industry display the most promise?
A: E-commerce has been on an upward trajectory for the past decade and is expected to maintain this momentum for the foreseeable future.
While traditional B2C interactions act as the norm that define the business landscape, we have identified a new approach. This is gradually gaining traction in the form of the surge of interactions among individual businesses.
Although certain businesses feel B2C transactions provide optimal results, another segment has realised that B2B partnerships offer similar potential.
In my opinion, the B2B journey is the next upcoming wave, which is expected to take the industry forward over the next two decades. In an ideal setting, the IT sphere will attain a fine balance with an ecosystem enriched with a business to business to consumer model (B2B2C).
Wellbeing practices, working from home (WFH) and collaboration tools have become the latest trends thanks to the global pandemic.
Over the next few decades, the IT industry will be more data driven and grow consistently, with technologies such as AI and robotic process automation (RPA) playing crucial supporting roles.
Q: How diverse is the company’s product portfolio – and how do these solutions contribute to the digital landscape?
A: As a human resources information system (HRIS) company, hSenid Business Solutions’ global reach extends across 40 countries while serving a customer base of 1,300. The scope of an HRIS transcends the stereotypical attendance monitoring and payroll processing.
A glance at our investments over the past few years reveals that substantial funds were allocated to bringing IoT to the forefront by means of enhancing device connectivity and transferring data to the cloud to optimise results, as well as AI and analytics – viz. descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive solutions.
As such, employees are facilitated in making insightful decisions based on projected results.
Furthermore, hSenid has experimented with the feasibility of incorporating robotics in human resources (HR) departments to test the possibility of automating regular time-consuming activities.
Our PeoplesHR Marketplace initiative will connect third party solutions – both apps and integrators – that provide efficiency and cost effectiveness to potential customers through the HRIS.
Additionally, the platform will contain a category for value added services for HR teams, and promotions and CSR categories for all customers where they can broadcast their corporate initiatives to the PeoplesHR community. It will also be connected to a payment gateway, which has been developed in accordance with accepted security standards.

Q: How does the business create win-win scenarios for all stakeholders?
A: It is generally difficult for businesses to connect with an appreciable customer base. I believe that hSenid facilitates that connectivity from the onset, enabling partners to directly connect with the PeoplesHR customer base.
The PeoplesHR Marketplace is a one stop shop solution for customers, granting access to applications and service providers that develop customised solutions – be it content, learning platforms and assessments.
As such, hSenid strives to ensure that customers are entitled to value additions at cost-effective rates while assuring that third party partners have an established source of recurring revenue. Partners can connect to our HRIS application directly since the API layers are fully functional and operational, facilitating easy integration.
Q: What are the organisation’s plans in terms of expansion?
A: We aspire to be positioned as a one stop solution, bringing HR and other related services under one umbrella.
Plans to expand the global reach of hSenid Business Solutions are in the pipeline. With an impressive presence already established in the Asia-Pacific and African regions, we hope to expand our boundaries with the aim of uplifting our standards.
We intend to achieve significant acceleration in terms of digital innovation and exponential economic growth in the coming years.
Furthermore, our goal is to ensure that our partner network in the two regions in which we’re present represent the hSenid brand effectively while working to establish a mutually beneficial symbiotic ecosystem.
Q: How would you advise young tech entrepreneurs in their efforts to make an impact?
A: The current generation is powered with a thirst to deliver innovation by exploiting every niche opportunity.
Choosing a market that fits your personal preference is pivotal since you would look to progress and achieve excellence within those parameters.
I believe that one simple solution has the potential to change the entire country. Perseverance is a necessity – harness your enthusiasm as your main source of energy and look for means to disrupt the marketplace.
