EXPLANATORY NOTES The LMD 100 has been compiled from information contained in the annual reports of listed companies and CSE Daily Report at 31 March 2024. Its principal ranking is based on revenue. Consolidated data for company financial years ended between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024 has been utilised for this purpose. Accordingly, the comparative information relates to their previous (2022/23) financial years but not including restated data – prior year rankings are not restated either. Respective company year ends (e.g. D – December; M – March) are denoted in the table above. The term Revenue is used for all companies – for entities in the financial services industry, revenue refers to income. Revenue excludes amounts collected on behalf of third parties (e.g. excise duties and levies). Profit After Tax includes outcomes from restructuring, acquisitions, and divestments of group investments and discontinued operations. Total Assets comprises both non-current and current assets.

EXPLANATORY NOTES (Continued) Shareholders’ Funds consists of total equity attributable to equity holders. Market Capitalisation is the total market value of voting shares and based on values at the end of the LMD 100 financial year (i.e. 31 March 2024). Chairman includes Chairpersons or Acting Chairpersons (or Deputy Chairpersons where there are no Chairpersons) if any. Managing Director includes Managing Directors, Chief Executive Officers, General Managers, Acting Managing Directors, Acting Chief Executive Officers or Acting General Managers (in this order). Share Profiles are based on values, ratios and yields at the end of the LMD 100 financial year (i.e. 31 March 2024). Ranking methodology – only annual reports that were submitted to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) by the stipulated deadline, including the grace period of five working days (i.e. 6 September 2024), have been utilised for ranking purposes.

PUBLICATION DATE The LMD 100 is published in December following the end of each financial year (i.e. 31 March) although the Leaderboard is released earlier – in September.
