ERIC GOH TO HEADLINE ‘JEWELS BENEATH THE WAVES’
Internationally published underwater photographer brings his visual journey to the latest edition of Cinnamon Nature Trails’ ‘Top Experts in the City’ series
Colombo, Sri Lanka (6th August 2026) – Beneath the ocean’s surface lies a world of extraordinary beauty, diversity and discovery. Bringing this hidden world to life, Cinnamon Nature Trails, the premier wildlife and adventure experience provider of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, welcomes internationally published Malaysian photographer and master diver Eric Goh to Colombo for Jewels Beneath the Waves, the latest edition of its acclaimed Top Experts in the City series.
With more than 20 years of experience specialising in underwater, wildlife and nature photography, Eric has captured remarkable moments from beneath the waves across diverse marine environments. His work has appeared in international magazines, newspapers, books and campaigns, and has been commissioned for major tourism and environmental initiatives.
Having explored and photographed Sri Lanka’s marine ecosystems over the past five years, Eric brings a unique perspective on the island’s underwater world. Through his lens, he reveals the beauty, diversity and mystery of marine life, transforming fleeting encounters beneath the surface into captivating visual stories.
Eric is also the author of Terengganu Islands & State Parks, a publication supported by the Royal Foundation, and serves as Chairperson and Judge of the Sultan Mizan International Photography Awards (SMIPA), one of Malaysia’s largest photography competitions.
The evening will feature Eric’s presentation, “Jewels Beneath the Waves”, alongside Chitral Jayatilake, Head of Cinnamon Nature Trails, who will showcase some of the team’s most memorable wildlife encounters and expeditions from across the globe, while offering an exclusive preview of upcoming nature travel experiences.
