DFCC BANK STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP TEAM WITH APPOINTMENT OF SHAMINDRA MARCELLINE AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
June 04, 2026, Colombo, DFCC Bank PLC has announced the appointment of Shamindra Marcelline as an Executive Director of the Bank with effect from 15 June 2026, following approval by the Board of Directors and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The appointment further strengthens DFCC Bank’s leadership team as the Bank continues to execute its long-term strategy focused on customer-centric excellence, digital innovation and transformation, strategic growth, operational agility, and sustainable impact.
Shamindra currently serves as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of DFCC Bank, where he provides leadership across several key functions, including customer excellence, sustainability, information security risk, logistics & real estate. He also serves as Alternate Chair of the Credit Committee, contributing to Board-level governance and risk oversight.

A banking professional with more than 27 years of experience, Shamindra has built extensive expertise across corporate, investment, retail, and international banking. Throughout his career, he has led business transformation initiatives, driven growth, and strengthened organisational capabilities across diverse markets.
Shamindra holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Economics and Accountancy from City University, London, and a Financial Advisors’ International Qualification (FAIQ) from the Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom.
