Business School of CA Sri Lanka welcomes 4th intake of its Advanced Certificate in Data Analytics Program

With the rapid development of Big Data and information technology, companies generate and collect a large amount of data in today’s business activities. However, data that is collected without proper analyzing will not serve much purpose for a company’s operational requirements in today’s world.

In this backdrop, the Business School of CA Sri Lanka held a special ceremony on August 10, 2024, to welcome the fourth intake of its prestigious Advanced Certificate in Data Analytics program. The event was attended by Mr. Tishan Subasinghe, Vice President – CA Sri Lanka, and Mr. Thisara Watawana, Senior Lecturer of the Data Analytics Program and over 40 participants.

The Advanced Certificate in Data Analytics Program enjoys a diverse range of participants, including business owners, directors, CFOs, finance managers, accountants, and financial and business analysts.

The previous three intakes collectively trained over 100 professionals.

Data analytics applies generally to all processes and resources necessary for the collection and analysis of critical data. Analytics is a wider concept, which incorporates multiple data processing methods and processes. It collects and transfers valuable data from information and analyzes it to generate numerical data and patterns that can lead to profitable improvement.

The Advanced Certificate in Data Analytics offered by CA Sri Lanka aims to provide participants with a challenging curriculum covering the most in-demand skills, tools and technologies in data analytics that’s primed for industry relevance.

Dive into Business intelligence using Tableau and Power BI, data mining using SQL, and statistical analysis using R programming languages. Thereafter, branch into Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence using Python with algorithms of increasing complexity, from decision trees and random forests. Participants will also be introduced to the latest cloud and Big Data technologies using Azure cloud services.

Organizations would benefit from this program as it would enable enhanced understanding of the client base in terms of customer trends and behaviors and ensuring effective marketing strategies and more focused pitching of products and services, as well as help them understand which processes can be optimized or automated.
