BIMT CAMPUS EXPANDS CORPORATE FOOTPRINT, PARTNERING WITH ASIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (AIT) TO DELIVER SPECIALIZED TECH AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR COMMERCIAL BANK OF CEYLON PLC.
BIMT Campus, in partnership with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Extension, Thailand, successfully conducted the Professional Development Program on Women Leadership in the Banking Sector for professionals from Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC. The international programme was held in Thailand from 22 to 28 June 2026.
The programme marked a significant milestone in the collaboration between BIMT Campus and AIT Extension, with the delegation from Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC participating as the inaugural batch under this executive leadership initiative.
Over the course of the seven-day programme, participants engaged in an intensive learning experience comprising expert-led sessions on Strategic Leadership, Interpersonal Intelligence, Organizational Synergy, Executive Communication, Sustainable Leadership, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Digital Transformation. The programme also included a study visits, where participants gained valuable insights into customer-centric innovation, digital banking technologies, and service excellence.
The learning journey featured executive talks, simulation sessions, interactive workshops, panel discussions, group presentations, networking opportunities, and a cultural visit, enabling participants to combine academic learning with international exposure and cross-cultural engagement.
Delivered by experienced facilitators from AIT Extension and distinguished industry experts from leading financial institutions in Thailand, the programme provided participants with practical knowledge and global perspectives to strengthen leadership capabilities in the rapidly evolving banking sector.
The initiative reflects the shared vision of BIMT Campus and AIT Extension to provide Sri Lankan professionals with access to internationally recognized executive education and leadership development opportunities. Through this strategic partnership, the two institutions continue to empower professionals with the skills, knowledge, and global outlook required to drive innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth within Sri Lanka’s banking industry.
