BOARD OF MANAGEMENT

	CHAIRMAN (EDITOR-IN-CHIEF) Hiran Hewavisenti ACA A member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ), and a former Senior Manager of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Australia. Hiran has worked in England and Australia with short stints in the United States. He is a product of Royal College and the City University London. Hiran’s hobbies include cricket (his religion), tennis, squash, travelling and work (LMD!). He founded LMD in 1994.
	MANAGING DIRECTOR Brian Emmanuel MBA An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing – CIM (UK), Brian holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management – University of Sri Jayewardenepura (PIM). Brian is a member of a sub-committee at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Sri Lanka) and a longstanding Rotarian – he was the President of the Rotary Club of Cinnamon Gardens in 2006/07. An old boy of St. Peter’s College, Brian loves music, sports and travel. Formerly of Commercial Stock Brokers, he joined the ranks of Team LMD in 1998.
	SALES DIRECTOR Anil Boudewyn Having spent over two decades in Southeast Asia – in Thailand and Singapore – in the publishing industry, Anil relocated to Sri Lanka to join LMD in 2009. He is an old boy of Wesley College, and enjoys the club scene and travelling around Sri Lanka with the hill country being a favourite.
	MARKETING DIRECTOR Tania Manthri With a Preliminary Certificate in Marketing from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) part qualification, Tania has extensive experience in the publishing industry – she has been an LMDer since 2006. Tania was educated at St. Lawrence Convent and Holy Family Convent. Being a lover of music, she hopes to master the guitar and drums someday (she likes banging on things!). Tania spends her days off from work cooking and baking, and she loves Japanese food.

	Lourdes Abeyeratne MBA Having spent her formative years in Dubai, Lourdes holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology – RMIT (Australia) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management from the University of Wollongong (Dubai). She resides in Canada.
	Ruwandi Perera Ruwandi has a background in marketing and sales, and a passion for writing.
	Yamini Sequeira Yamini is a regular columnist in the magazine. She hails from India and has lived in Sri Lanka for some two decades.
	Saro Thiruppathy Saro advocates for the rights of workers, women and children. She has served national and international NGOs, and worked in the media.

Prishan Pandithage Prishan is a graduate of the prestigious Hallmark Institute of Photography – Massachusetts (USA). He counts more than a decade’s experience in commercial photography and motion pictures, having worked in New York City and Colombo.

	SENIOR MANAGER (FEATURES EDITOR) Nicola Jayasundera A student of Ladies’ College, Nicola has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Marketing from Edith Cowan University (Australia). LMD was and still is her first workplace. She was selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Presidential Classroom Future World Leaders Summit in Washington D.C. Nicola loves nature and wildlife photography, creative designing, handcrafts, art and cooking. Her hobbies include travelling and watching anime/j-drama/k-drama. She’s a passionate cat lover!
	SENIOR MANAGER (BUSINESS EDITOR) Tamara Rebeira A product of Methodist College, Tamara counts a graduate Diploma in Management. Prior to joining the team at LMD, she worked at TNL Radio. Tamara enjoys spending time with family and reading in her leisure time.
	SENIOR EXECUTIVE (JOURNALIST) Pranavesh Sivakumar A past student of S. Thomas’ Preparatory School, Pranavesh worked as a freelance sports journalist for the Sunday Times before joining the team at LMD House. He enjoys reading and keeping up to date on current affairs.
	EXECUTIVE Nimanthi Bandaranayake A product of Gateway College, Nimanthi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual communication design from the Northumbria University. She enjoys swimming and reading in her leisure time.
	EXECUTIVE Dona Senara Educated at Leighton Park International School, Dona is pursuing a degree in English language from the International College of Business and Technology – ICBT (Cardiff), and international relations at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS). Her interests include community service, swimming and athletics.
	CONSULTANT Fazmina Imamudeen Fazmina is an educator of English language and literature, a theatre director, an actor and a writer.
	CONSULTANT Indrajit Lankeshwara Indrajit is a chartered management accountant with an interest in writing.
	CONSULTANT Avanti Samarasekera A freelance journalist with over a decade of experience writing for local and global publications, Avanti is also a corporate communications consultant and part-time personal organiser.

GRAPHICS

	GENERAL MANAGER Wasantha Amarasinghe Wasantha counts extensive experience in layout design and the print industry – he has been a member of Team LMD since 1999. An old boy of President’s College and Ananda College, he has completed a number of courses in graphic designing. An amateur photographer, he enjoys watching cricket and playing badminton. Wasantha captained Media Services’ cricket team for many years.
	SENIOR MANAGER Lakmal de Silva Trained in graphic designing and page layouts at Wijeya Graphics and IDM Computer Studies, Lakmal has been a member of Team LMD since 2004 – he says these years have been the best in his working life. An old boy of President’s College, Lakmal is a former Image-setting and Pre-press Manager at Sarvodaya Vishva Lekha.
	SENIOR MANAGER Sanjaya de Silva Sanjaya has been an LMDer since 2007 and captained the company’s cricket team. He has completed courses in digital animation and professional photography. Sanjaya has a penchant for travelling (for photography), and his hobbies include collecting antiques and listening to local music bands. Educated at President’s College, he hopes to host a photography exhibition someday.
	DEPUTY MANAGER Thusitha Jayawardhana Educated at Dharmapala Vidyalaya in Pannipitiya, Thusitha has completed several diploma courses in graphic design and worked for over a decade in the advertising industry as a senior artist. He joined the team at LMD following stints at Sun Ray Colour Graphics, Grey Colombo and BBDO Lanka. A resident of Meegoda, Thusitha enjoys reading, music and watching tutorials in his leisure time.
	DEPUTY MANAGER Rumesh Dias A product of Asoka Vidyalaya, Rumesh has worked in the graphics field since 2011. He has completed courses in photography, computer graphics and AutoCad. His interests include singing, and playing and watching cricket.

MARKETING

	GENERAL MANAGER Frank Gabriel Experienced in MIS and brand management, Frank worked for multinational firms in the food and beverage industry for two years before joining Team LMD. He holds a Diploma in Marketing (SEGi – Malaysia) and was a student of St. Anthony’s College.
	SENIOR MANAGER Thiyagi Perera Following her education at St. Anthony’s Girls School in Kandy, Thiyagi gained a secretarial diploma. She was previously employed at Mandarin Reid, Bogawantalawa Tea Ceylon, Watawala Tea Ceylon, Vanguard Logistics and JAT Holdings. Thiyagi practices yoga and meditation in her leisure time.
	MANAGER Priyan Gunaratna A past student of S. Thomas’ Preparatory School, Priyan worked in the family business before joining the team at LMD House. He enjoys swimming in his leisure time.
	CONSULTANT Dilshan Algama Dilshan schooled at St. Joseph’s and Wesley College. Prior to joining Team LMD, he worked at Hutchison Telecom and Mobitel. Dilshan enjoys music in his leisure time.
	CONSULTANT Asha Greig Asha has worked in the advertising industry since 2000. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing – CIM (UK) and LMD marked her foray into the marketing profession. Fluent in English, Sinhala and Arabic, she speaks Malay and Tamil, and holds diplomas in French, English Literature and Islamic Civilisation. Asha loves reading, gardening and cooking, and is a top-notch seamstress (she’s been working on completing a quilt… since 2008!). Asha has been an LMDer since 2008.

COMMUNICATIONS & PR

	SENIOR EXECUTIVE Harshini Amarasinghe Harshini worked in the import-export and IT sectors prior to joining LMD. A product of Dharmapala College in Pannipitiya, she has completed courses in Executive Secretarial, Microsoft Office and Typesetting.
	SENIOR EXECUTIVE Glenise Candappa Glenise is a student of St. Paul’s Balika Maha Vidyalaya in Kelaniya. She studied business, secretarial and nursing since leaving school. Glenise worked at Leo Burnett Solutions and Video Image prior to joining LMD. She loves to chill out listening to music and enjoys dancing in her free time.
	SENIOR EXECUTIVE Jeba Samarakoon Educated at Hillwood College in Kandy, Jeba studied HR management and followed secretarial courses after leaving school. Prior to joining the team at LMD House, she was employed at the University of Peradeniya, Hyundai Lanka and Douglas & Sons. Jeba enjoys movies, classical music and sewing. She also devotes time to charity work.
	SENIOR EXECUTIVE Dion Tranchell A student of Good Shepherd Convent in Wattala, Dion worked at Citizens Development Business Finance before joining LMD. She is currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design at AMDT School of Creativity. In her spare time, Dion enjoys playing volleyball, designing outfits, watching movies and listening to music.
	CONSULTANT Saseena Haleem With a background in HR, advertising and the construction industry, Saseena returned to Sri Lanka after a 15 year stint in Dubai and subsequently returned to the UAE. In her leisure time, Saseena enjoys designing cards for special occasions.

FINANCE

	MANAGER Sameera Manoudara ACA A product of Mahanama College, Sameera is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka). He has extensive experience working for the likes of Butani Capital Group, Capital Maharaja Group and B. R. De Silva & Co. Sameera enjoys listening to music in his leisure time.
	MANAGER Samanmalee Kuruppumudali ACMA, CGMA A past student of Bishop’s College, Samanmalee is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Before joining the team at LMD House, she worked at Infomate. Samanmalee enjoys reading and watching documentaries.
	SENIOR EXECUTIVE Achala Chandani AAT A product of Sumana Balika Vidyalaya, Achala is an associate member of the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT). Prior to joining LMD, she worked at Dherana International. Achala enjoys spending time with her children in her leisure time.
	SENIOR EXECUTIVE Suchira Mendis B.Com (Special) USJP A past student of Holy Family Convent (Dehiwela), Suchira holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Before joining the team at LMD House, she worked at Jayasinghe & Company. Suchira enjoys listening to music.

RESEARCH & ADMINISTRATION

	MANAGER Angela David A past student of All Saints’ College, Angela worked at Kantar Lanka before joining the team at LMD House. She enjoys playing badminton in her leisure time.
	MANAGER Dananji Samarakoon BA (Hons) A past student of Mahanama Maha Vidyalaya (Anuradhapura), Dananji holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colombo. Before joining the team at LMD House, she worked at Global Media Networks. Dananji enjoys travelling; and when at home, she chills out by reading and watching TV.

IT & CIRCULATION

	DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER Naushan Sariffodeen Having worked for a software development company for more than three years, Naushan joined Team LMD in 2001. Educated at St. John’s College (Nugegoda), he has completed the ACS examination and holds a Diploma-level Certificate for Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) from the University of Colombo. He enjoys playing badminton in his spare time.
	SENIOR MANAGER Rohan De Silva BMS Rohan has 15 years’ work experience in Bahrain and also worked for three years in the IT industry in Sri Lanka. A product of Wesley College, he holds Diplomas in Programming and Advance Programming, and has completed courses in Windows Server Networking and Android App Development. He enjoys travelling, cycling, and reading about trains and railways – when he’s not working! Rohan joined LMD in 2008.
	DEPUTY MANAGER Kasun Basuriya Following his education at Prince College in Ratnapura, Kasun obtained a Professional Graduate Diploma in IT from the British Computer Society (BCS). Prior to joining LMD, he worked for Travotium, Global Academic Research Institute, Open System Integrators and Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies. He works on embedded app development and micro drones in his spare time.
	EXECUTIVE Eshan Silva A videographer and former sales representative for consumer products and pharmaceuticals, Eshan has experience in video editing and is a photographer. Educated at St. Sebastian’s College in Moratuwa, he enjoys playing the guitar and keyboards in his free time.
	EXECUTIVE Humaydh Sariffodeen A product of Zahira College, he was a deputy head prefect, and the president of the media unit and Interact Club. Humaydh enjoys futsal and swimming in his leisure time. He joined Team LMD in 2023.

LOGISTICS

	EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT Gopalsamy Selvakaran Gopalsamy has been a member of Team LMD since 2005. A product of Isipathana College, he is a gifted guitarist and singer. He likes playing cricket and spending time with his family, in addition to fishing and maintaining his home aquarium.
	EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT Sanmugavel Thiyagaraja Educated at Hindu Senior College in Kandy, Thiyagaraja worked at the National Industries Company in Kuwait prior to joining LMD. He enjoys watching TV and has a keen interest in current affairs.
