DFCC ALOKA DRIVES WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT IN JAFFNA WITH EVOLUTION AUTO
DFCC Bank, through its women-focused proposition DFCC Aloka, recently partnered with Evolution Auto at the Green Wheels Carnival in Jaffna. The initiative created new opportunities for aspiring women entrepreneurs from underserved communities to strengthen household income, gain independence, and uplift community wellbeing.
The initiative centred on the launch of the Mahindra Treo Pink Edition, developed in collaboration with Mahindra Last Mile Mobility and Evolution Auto, offering women in the Northern Province access to sustainable livelihoods in passenger transport. By linking inclusive finance with green mobility, the programme represents a step towards both social empowerment and environmental responsibility.
The two-day Green Wheels Carnival provided a platform for the community to explore sustainable transport solutions, while also highlighting the importance of accessible finance in enabling entrepreneurial growth. DFCC Aloka used the event to engage directly with participants, offering tailored financial solutions, advisory services, and awareness-building for women-led enterprises. The Bank also showcased its broader retail portfolio, including leasing, fixed deposits, personal loans, and pawning, ensuring women entrepreneurs have access to practical financial tools to support their journeys.
