BOC exceeds Rs. 666 Billion in Avurudu Transactions

The Bank of Ceylon (BOC), Sri Lanka’s No. 1 Bank, reaffirmed its leadership in banking services by facilitating over Rs. 666 billion in customer transactions during the Avurudu season 2025. This achievement underscores the trust customers place in BOC’s extensive service network and its commitment to providing seamless financial access during peak festive periods.

Between 1st and 15th April 2025, BOC’s customers made 3,236,318 POS transactions, amounting Rs. 13.57 billion. Meanwhile BOC’s ATM and Cash Recycling Machine (CRM) network processed 9,173,642 transactions, amounting Rs. 211.97 billion with 932 CRMs and 568 ATMs island wide. With this wide network of service points, BOC customers enjoyed 24/7 real-time deposits and withdrawals. From 7th to 12th April, BOC’s 658 branches handled Rs. 440.48 billion in over-the-counter transactions through 961,966 service engagements, ensuring uninterrupted access to banking services during the festivities. Selected branches remained open even on 12th April (Holiday) to provide additional convenience to customers during the holiday rush.
