  • Sri Lanka Insurance Life secures the ‘Most Loved Life Insurance Brand’ title for the 8th Consecutive Year

18th June 2025, Colombo – Sri Lanka Insurance Life (SLICLL) has once again been recognized as the Most Loved Life Insurance Brand in Sri Lanka by LMD’s latest Brand Finance Most Loved Brands edition. This marks the eighth consecutive year that SLICLL has earned this honour, reinforcing its deep-rooted trust and emotional connection with the people of Sri Lanka.

At the heart of SLICLL’s brand lies its unwavering focus on customer centricity, ensuring that every touchpoint delivers value, trust, and care. From seamless service and transparent communication to timely claims settlements and meaningful rewards, the company continues to place policyholders at the core of its operations. In 2024 alone, SLICLL disbursed over Rs. 1 billion on average in maturity and claim settlements, a testament to its commitment to protecting lives when it matters most. The company also declared the largest life insurance bonus in the industry for 2023, totaling Rs. 11.2 billion, further rewarding loyal policyholders. Over the last two decades, bonus declarations have exceeded Rs. 104 billion, strengthening SLICLL’s reputation as a partner that delivers on its promises.

Building on this commitment, SLICLL introduced a range of timely and relevant product offerings in 2024 to meet the evolving needs of Sri Lankan families. ‘Medi Champ’, a multi generational, affordable health cover, addresses rising healthcare costs with features like global hospitalisation, OPD benefits, and premium waivers. The launch of ‘Value Max’ caters to customers seeking fast financial returns through short-term investments.

SLICLL’s promise, ‘Like a Father, Like a Mother’, encapsulates its empathetic, people first approach, which extends beyond customers to the broader community. Through wide reaching Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, the company continues to support education, community development, and cultural preservation. The flagship ‘Suba Pathum Scholarship’ initiative has now awarded over 1,800 scholarships worth more than Rs. 200 million, while the ‘Pasal Piriyatha’ project has improved infrastructure in 3,365 underprivileged schools. The company’s enduring support for cultural heritage is reflected in its involvement with traditional Peraheras and the annual assistance provided to Poson pilgrims in Anuradhapura. Additionally, in response to the 2024 floods, SLICLL partnered with the Disaster Management Center to distribute dry rations to over 1,100 families in the Gampaha, Ratnapura, and Matara districts.

Internally, Sri Lanka Insurance Life fosters an inclusive and empowered work culture. The company upholds progressive policies that promote gender equality, provide comprehensive medical benefits, and encourage career growth, particularly for women in the workforce.

SLICLL’s exceptional performance and sustained customer trust are backed by solid financial fundamentals. With the largest life fund in the industry at Rs. 213.2 billion and an asset base of Rs. 238.6 billion, the company continues to lead the way in financial strength and long-term security.
