Sri Lanka–Indonesia Business Council Advances Trade and Startup Partnerships on Mission to Indonesia

The Sri Lanka–Indonesia Business Council (SLIBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce concluded a Business Promotion Mission to Indonesia, securing promising links in renewable energy, digital services, and startup collaboration.
Held from 14-18 October 2025, the mission was led by Mr. Sampath Jayasundara, CEO of hSenid Business Solutions and Executive Committee Member of SLIBC. Delegates participated in Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 202 – the country’s premier international trade event inaugurated by H.E. Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia – which drew over 1,000 exhibitors and thousands of global participants.
The Sri Lankan delegation engaged with leading business organizations including the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society (METI), KADIN (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), and APINDO (Employers’ Association of Indonesia) to explore cooperation in renewable energy, digital innovation, tourism, and trade facilitation.
A highlight of the mission was the “Beyond Borders: Sri Lanka & Indonesia Startup Exchange”, hosted by Komdigi (Ministry of Communication and Digital), where Mr. Jayasundara joined Mr. Daniel Tumewu, Co-Founder of the Habibie Innovation Incubator, for a fireside chat on startup growth and global market access.
The delegation also attended a networking reception hosted by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Indonesia, connecting with business leaders, diplomats, and members of the Sri Lankan diaspora.
SriLankan Airlines served as the Official Airline Partner for the mission. For more information, contact 0115588840 or ccc.trade@chamber.lk.
