Serendib Flour Mills shines at SLIM NASCO 2019 with Gold Awards 

31st October 2019, Colombo: Serendib Flour Mills, the manufacturers of high quality 7 Star Wheat flour in Sri Lanka, took home 3 awards – 2 golds and 1 bronze – at the recently-concluded National Sales Congress (NASCO) 2019 organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM).

The 2 Gold Awards were won by Ajith Thanthrige – Area Manager Central/East Region in the category “Corporate Sales: Territory Manager” and Indika Thushara Wijesinghe – Technical Sales Executive in the category “Corporate Sales: Support Services”. The Bronze Award was won by KHC Sanjeewa – Sales Executive Negombo in the “Corporate Sales: Sales Executive” category.

With over 12 years of experience at Serendib Flour Mills, Ajith Thanthrige has extensive experience serving in areas including Kandy, Matale, Polonnaruwa, Ampara, Dehiattakandiya and Mahiyanganaya. Indika Thushara Wijesinghe’s background in the food industry spans over 10 years where he has worked as a Sales Representative, Area Sales Supervisor and Bakery Demonstrator. At the company’s 5th Annual Sales Conference held earlier this year Indika bagged the “7 Star Technical Executive of the Year 2018” award. K.H.C. Sanjeewa has been part of Serendib Flour Mills since 2007 covering Wattala, Negombo and Divulapitiya. He was the winner of the coveted “7 Star B2B Sales Executive of the Year” Award at the 5th Annual Sales Conference.

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the National body for Marketing in Sri Lanka, has been promoting marketing excellence and elevating the status of marketing since 1970. Since its inception, the SLIM NASCO awards program has rapidly become the premier event for Sri Lanka’s sales fraternity to recognize sales personnel among a diverse range of industries under their various job scopes. An eminent panel of judges selects the best sales performers in the country by prudently screening all entries.
