Sampath Bank Celebrates Cultural Unity through Second Edition of Groundbreaking Trilingual Concert
Sampath Bank proudly sponsored the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka’s (SOSL) highly anticipated SOSL Pops, A Trilingual Extravaganza, which took centre stage on 24th and 25th May 2025 at the Bishop’s College Auditorium. Returning as sponsor for the second consecutive year, the Bank reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to cultural enrichment, diversity and meaningful customer engagement.
The concert, which brought together Sinhala, Tamil and English traditions through the universal language of music, featured an exceptional line-up of artists including Bathiya and Santhush (BNS), Sheeam Dean, Dr. Aruran Arunanthy and the renowned Old Joes’ Choir, conducted by Nishantha Warnakulasuriya. The exclusive performance on 24th May was specially curated for Sampath Bank’s valued customers, reflecting the Bank’s focus on offering elevated experiences beyond traditional banking.
Tharaka Ranwala, Senior Deputy General Manager – Marketing, Customer Care, and Card Centre at Sampath Bank, shared his thoughts on the continued partnership, stating, “Sponsoring this concert for the second year in a row is a natural progression of our ongoing efforts to celebrate Sri Lanka’s vibrant cultural identity. Through music, we believe in bringing people together and creating lasting impressions far beyond transactions. Our customers deserve to be part of truly memorable moments, and initiatives like this allow us to honour that promise.”
Sponsoring such a pioneering event emphasises Sampath Bank’s vision to integrate arts and culture into the community, further enriching its commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles. This initiative falls under the social category, where the Bank seeks to contribute meaningfully to the growth and sustainability of Sri Lankan culture.
Guests in attendance described the evening as nothing short of magical, with one attendee noting, “The attention to detail, the atmosphere and the artistry came together in a way that was deeply moving. Sampath Bank’s invitation felt more like a gesture of appreciation, it was personal, thoughtful and unforgettable.”
Through efforts like SOSL Pops 2025, Sampath Bank continues strengthening its role as a custodian of Sri Lankan culture. In creating experiences that blend artistry, inclusivity and heritage, the Bank deepens its relationship with the communities it serves, enriching lives far beyond banking.
