PIM Case Study on Lanka QR presented at the AIB South Asia Conference hosted by IIM

Postgraduate Institute of Management as the Nations Management mentor is committed towards creating new knowledge for the benefit of its student as well as the wider business community and with this endeavor and task in mind encourages its faculty to continuously to collaborate with other parties in publishing cutting edge world class research as well as corporate case studies. Senior Lecturer of PIM, Tharindu Ameresekere has recently presented his case study on the digital payment and Fintech adoption efforts of LankaClear via their Lanka QR payment system a the AIB South Asia conference hosted by the Indian Institute of Management (Vishakhapatnam)

The LankaQR payment system is a game changer in enabling the adoption of a Fintech technology at a grass root level and the case study captured the essence of the impact of the technology on the Lankan economic actors as Tharindu Ameresekere shared the lessons from the case study and implications of it for the government and the business organisations with a diverse audience of professionals and academics at the recently concluded conference.

PIM also officially handed over the case study to the CEO of LankaClear Channa De Silva in a symbolic gesture of PIM’s commitment to collaborate and work together with the corporate sector of Sri Lanka in highlighting the efforts by them towards strengthening the economy. The hand over was done by the director of PIM, Dr. Senaka Kelum Gamage together with the author, Tharindu Ameresekere.
