Pan Asia Bank Celebrates International Day of Forests with Tree Planting Initiative at Viharamahadevi Park

Pan Asia Bank marked the International Day of Forests with a tree planting initiative at Viharamahadevi Park, organized by its Sustainability Committee. The event launched Tree Planting Week and featured the symbolic planting of two rare trees—Lignum Vitae and Candle Fruit—by Director/CEO Naleen Edirisinghe and the Corporate Management Team, in collaboration with Colombo Municipal Council officials. These species were chosen to highlight the importance of preserving Sri Lanka’s rare and indigenous flora. “Environmental conservation is a shared duty,” said Director/CEO Naleen Edirisinghe. “At Pan Asia Bank, we strive to drive sustainable change.” The Bank’s Sustainability Committee continues to lead environmental projects that align with national and global goals, such as reducing carbon footprints and encouraging reforestation.
