Signs MOU with CLEAN OCEAN FORCE and LEADS

NDB Bank recently signed two MoUs with Clean Ocean Force Lanka (COF) and Lanka Evangelical Alliance Development Service (LEADS). This will enable the Bank’s valuable clientele to easily donate to any charity project of their choice offered by COF or LEADS.

The funds provided to projects of COF will go directly to scale-up the present operations at a number of beaches and will facilitate the addition of new beach locations to the daily clean-up process, whilst providing a livelihood for under privileged communities. Meanwhile, the LEADS projects include psychosocial support for survivors of child abuse, supporting the drop-in centre for children of urban slums in Mattakkuliya, vocational training for survivors of child abuse, formation of Self-Help Groups to support financial stability in vulnerable communities and livelihood support for families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

COF is a non-profit organization based in Sri Lanka working towards eliminating plastic, man-made pollutants, and other debris that enter the Indian Ocean through the various rivers and waterways  around the country.

LEADS is a national agency established in 1983 and an approved non-governmental organization dedicated to creating safer spaces and brighter futures for the children of Sri Lanka.
