Another Milestone: Pay&Go Enables Real-Time Water Bill Payments with the National Water Supply & Drainage Board
MegaPay (Pvt) Ltd., a leading name in Sri Lanka’s fintech space, continues to champion digital convenience through its flagship initiative – Pay&Go. With over 1,000 self-service payment kiosks island-wide, smart POS Terminals, and a user-friendly mobile payment app, Pay&Go has built a reputation for transforming how people pay their bills, making the process faster, easier, and more reliable.
In its latest move, Pay&Go has strengthened its partnership with the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) by launching real-time water bill payments and live balance updates. This new feature allows customers to instantly pay their water bills via any Pay&Go kiosk or the app and immediately see the updated amount reflected in their balance—offering complete transparency and peace of mind.
To make the service more accessible, Pay&Go has placed payment kiosks at eight key NWSDB locations, giving walk-in customers a quicker and more seamless way to settle their bills. These kiosks can now be found at Kolonnawa, Battaramulla, Maligakanda, Mattakkuliya, Maligawatta, Panadura, Puttalam branches, and Head Office Rathmalana. Looking ahead, Pay&Go plans to expand its network by installing kiosks at several additional NWSDB branches across the country, including locations in Kandy, Kurunegala, Galle, Anuradhapura, Jaffna, and Badulla. This expansion aims to ensure that more customers island-wide can enjoy convenient and real-time water bill payments close to their homes or workplaces.
This partnership between Pay&Go and NWSDB not only reduces queues and wait times but also supports the government’s broader push toward digital public service delivery.
Chairman of the National Water Supply & Drainage Board, Eng. Deepthi U. Sumanasekara, stated:
“We are pleased to work with Pay&Go to make bill payments more efficient and user-friendly. Real-time updates and expanded access are major steps in delivering smart services to our customers.”
General Manager of the National Water Supply & Drainage Board, Mr. T. Barathithasan, also highlighted the importance of this initiative:
“This collaboration marks a significant step toward modernizing public service payments. By enabling real-time transactions and expanding accessibility through Pay&Go, we are enhancing customer convenience and improving service efficiency.”
Director of Pay&Go, Mr. Vardan Aslibekyan, added:
“This milestone is part of our ongoing mission to digitize public services across Sri Lanka. We’re proud to play a role in modernizing how people pay for utilities—securely, quickly, and transparently.”
This collaboration reflects Pay&Go’s broader commitment to driving the digital transformation of Sri Lanka’s payment landscape. By working with NWSDB and other government and private vendors across the country, Pay&Go is making it easier for citizens to manage payments in real time—anytime, anywhere.
