Q: How would you describe Just In Time Group’s (JIT) brand identity and values?

A: Our brand identity is built on a foundation of innovation, quality and customer satisfaction. From our humble beginnings in a 100 square foot basement to becoming a leading ICT systems integrator in Sri Lanka, our journey reflects our commitment to pushing technological boundaries and delivering excellence.

JIT is not simply a technology provider but a trusted partner in digital transformation. We emphasise our role as a technological pioneer, our dedication to sustainable practices through environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, and our strategic impact on national projects that enhance Sri Lanka’s technological landscape.

Q: What strategies has JIT employed to position itself as a leading ICT systems and solutions integrator in Sri Lanka? How does JIT differentiate itself from competitors?

A: JIT has been a silent and integral force behind Sri Lanka’s digital transformation journey. Our expertise and solutions span telecommunication infrastructure and applications, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, data analytics, AI, cloud services, middleware, APIs, integration solutions, advanced defence solutions and comprehensive digital transformation services.

We support government initiatives with tailored solutions. For example, we dominate the national ID management system. In banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), we revolutionise financial services with many solutions such as digital and core banking solutions.

In telecommunications, we assist in establishing secure networks and OSS/BSS (operations support systems and business support systems). In defence, JIT provided mission critical solutions, bolstering national security and operational readiness.

Our integrated platforms and smart technologies drive digital empowerment across sectors, contributing to a digitally inclusive society.

Q: How do you view the role of corporates in reviving Sri Lanka’s economic and social landscape?

A: Corporates like ours are pivotal in reviving Sri Lanka’s economic and social landscape by leveraging advanced technologies to drive digital transparency, economic growth, cost reduction and business efficiency.

Q: What’s your outlook for Sri Lanka in the next five years?

A: Sri Lanka will advance in economic development, infrastructure and social progress through technology and digital transformation. Key investments in digital infrastructure and telecommunications will lead the ICT industry.

Economic growth will benefit from integrating advanced technologies, boosting efficiency, innovation, productivity and job creation. An export-oriented digital economy will enhance international trade and investment.

Socially, the focus on education and skills in areas like AI and data analytics will prepare the workforce for global tech challenges. Technologies such as blockchain will enhance transparency and reduce corruption, fostering trust.

Supportive regulations and policies will attract foreign investment and bolster ICT growth, while infrastructure investments in smart cities and renewable energy will promote connectivity and climate resilience.

Public-private partnerships will drive innovation, efficiency and the successful execution of large-scale national projects.

Q: And what are your organisation’s plans for the future?

A: We have ambitious plans for local and international expansion. We aim to leverage AI, blockchain, IoT and 5G to introduce new products and address industry challenges. Our focus includes ESG and Sustainable Development Goal aligned solutions like carbon footprint tools, sustainable supply chain systems and renewable energy management.

In healthcare, we’re developing telemedicine platforms, wearable devices and AI driven diagnostic tools. For agriculture, we’re creating precision farming, agricultural drones and smart irrigation systems. We also advance clean energy technologies like energy storage, waste-to-energy and water purification. In education, we focus on EdTech with VR/AR learning, e-learning platforms and AI powered adaptive learning.

Aligned with the president’s national DIGIECON strategy and the government’s AI strategy, our solutions support sustainable growth and societal impact.

We’ll invest in R&D, collaborate with consultants, universities and research institutes, acquire top talent, attend industry conferences and expand our marketing to maintain ICT leadership, and enhance Sri Lanka’s tech and economic growth.
