CFA Society Sri Lanka Partner to Launch a Co-Branded Dual-Purpose VISA Infinite Credit Card

Leading private sector bank HNB PLC, partnered with CFA Society Sri Lanka, to launch its revolutionary Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled Visa Infinite Credit Card that doubles as a mode of identification for members at CFA Society Sri Lanka events.
Enabling simple, intuitive, contactless transactions and quick data transfers by simply tapping the card on specific consoles and screens, the co-branded card will offer members access to a slew of exclusive discounts and benefits. The combo cardholders will be eligible for a special retail banking and insurance package as well.
Senior members of HNB and CFA Society Sri Lanka, including President, Dinesh Warusavitharana, CFA, Vice President, Aruna Perera, CFA and Directors Ravindra Abeysuriya, CFA, Rasanja Perera, CFA, Rashmi Paranavitane, CFA, Deshan Pushparajah, CFA, and Travis Gomez, CFA were present at the ceremony held to launch the credit card.

Cardholders are entitled to a wide range of exclusive retail banking packages from personal and housing loans, leasing facilities and investment products such as fixed deposits, HNB Salary Smart, HNB Savings Plus and children’s accounts. Members can further make use of exciting discounts available across HNB’s extensive merchant partner network. Additionally, customers are entitled to a lifetime annual fee waiver.
Commenting on the launch, CFA Society Sri Lanka President, Dinesh Warusavitharana, CFA said “We are excited to embark on this initiative with Hatton National Bank as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance member engagement and in particular because this is the first initiative to commemorate our 20th Anniversary. This co-branded card will provide significant value to our members through the wide array of benefits provided. Further, the card offered by the bank is a first of its kind among our peers as it serves the dual purpose of functioning as a mode of payment and identification.”
