Hayleys Fentons Limited, Sri Lanka’s premier one-stop provider for complex engineering services is set to embark on a high-profile project for Shield Restraint Systems Limited in establishing “SHIELD” — a new manufacturing facility within the Wathupitiwala Export Processing Zone (EPZ).

This groundbreaking initiative highlights Hayleys Fentons unmatched expertise in collaborating with leading architectural and engineering firms to craft bespoke, high-quality solutions that exceed even the most rigorous industry standards.

SHIELD Restraint Systems specialises in designing and manufacturing innovative safety solutions for a wide range of vehicles, including child seats, utility vehicles, commercial trucks, buses, and construction equipment. Producing over 20 million restraints annually, SHIELD is a global leader in occupant safety systems. Now, with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility set to be established in Sri Lanka, SHIELD will locally produce world-class safety systems that will protect lives around the globe.

The stone-laying event for this state-of-the-art facility was graced by the U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie J. Chung, and the Chairman of Sri Lanka’s Board of Investment, Arjuna Herath, marking a significant milestone for US foreign direct investment (FDI) in Sri Lanka.

Hayleys Fentons is overseeing the architectural design and full civil construction and plumbing infrastructure of this ambitious project, encompassing everything from design and supply to installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of the state-of-the-art warehouse and production facility.
