As one of Sri Lanka’s top three total document solutions providers with years of service excellence, Gestetner of Ceylon (GOC) has advanced its offering from standalone products to comprehensive, integrated solutions for the work environment.

Gestetner led the way in introducing digital copiers and machine renting (Print 2 Profit) to the Sri Lankan market. It proudly claims a machine base of over 10,000 including 3,000 rented machines.

Ricoh Japan recognised GOC’s impressive annual sales track record and awarded it the Top Achiever Award for 2021 in multifunctional products, and digital production printing machines and solution business from among Ricoh’s global channel partners in the Asia-Pacific region.

Headquartered in Tokyo, Ricoh Asia Pacific is a global technology corporation focussing on office imaging equipment, production print solutions, document management systems and IT services. It reported worldwide sales of approximately US$ 14.5 billion in the last financial year.

The service portfolio includes managing document consulting with professional and maintenance services. Its software solutions embrace network print management and control, document and information management, document distribution, forms management and workflow solutions.

Last year, the company laid plans to expand its business with an enhanced product portfolio. A significant milestone was the installation of the first Ricoh Production Printer (PP) machine by Gestetner of Ceylon.

These high end PP machines, which produce excellent quality colour output to end users, have garnered the admiration and approval of well-established printing industry giants. In Sri Lanka, Ricoh production machines are used by leading Sri Lankan printers such as LeafD, Gunaratne Offset, and Softwave Printing and Packaging for its superlative quality output.

Special colours such as gold, silver, white, clear, neon yellow, neon pink and invisible red have been brought to the local market by Ricoh Pro 7210X.

Other brands in the product portfolio include BenQ, Fujitsu, GD, DocuWare, myQ, NCR, Vivitek, SCAN COIN, MIB and POSMART.

The comprehensive system developed by GOC to monitor post-sales service has migrated to a web-based application called ServVista. This has significantly contributed to facilitating speedy access to after-sales service and ensuring efficient problem solving for existing customers.

Moreover, Gestetner-Telkom is the telco sub-sector’s recently formed division at GOC, which holds the distributorship rights for TECNO mobile devices in Sri Lanka from Transsion Holdings. TECNO Mobile is one of the world’s fastest growing smartphone brands and is listed among the top 10 popular choices.

Marketing strategies continue to be refined and adapted to meet changing consumer demands, and to increase the focus on customer retention and satisfaction.

Gestetner is also considering markets overseas and presently formulating strategies to expand to the Maldives. Gestetner of Ceylon will strive to provide exceptional service to its consumers with the organisation’s current product portfolio.
