THERE WON’T BE A HUNGER CRISIS

Sri Lanka’s newly sworn in Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, has told the BBC his government is dealing with the country’s economic crisis and soaring food prices.

Speaking to Rajini Vaidyanathan in his first interview since taking office, he pledged to ensure sufficient food, medical and fuel supplies, saying “there won’t be a hunger crisis in the country”.
