EXCLUSIVE BELLISSIMA FLAVOURS AT BREW 1867 BY DILMAH
It comes as no surprise the leader in innovative biscuit puddings, Bellissima, has launched two new flavours with none other than Brew 1867 by Dilmah, the latest chain that has already taken the Colombo café culture to new heights within a short period of time.
With 1867 being significant as the year of transition when Ceylon Coffee gave way to Ceylon Tea, Dilmah which took the world by storm with the finest packaged teas, has also succeeded in concocting soul warming brews through its newest venture of concept cafés.
According to the C.E.O of Dilmah, Dilhan Fernando “The concept behind Brew 1867 cafés is to always have good food at an affordable price for every palate, with a variety of options from the healthy to indulgent and everything in between, while giving focus to locally inspired recipes.
He further added that, “We are happy to have Bellissima’s signature biscuit puddings in our range of desserts which match with our café’s culture we are striving to develop.”
“We feel excited and privileged to have created two exclusive flavours for Brew 1867 which are featured along with the rest of our non-alcoholic range of biscuit puddings.” states the founder and owner of Bellissima, Dush Ratnayake who launched a new Pina Colada Biscuit Pudding as well as a Sri Lankan Milk Coffee flavoured Biscuit Pudding to its range.
According to Dush, The Virgin Pina Colada as a flavour was his first choice because of its truly global flavour with very Sri Lankan ingredients. “We have some of the best coconuts and pineapples in the world. The universal popularity of pina colada mirrors Dilmah’s success as one of our greatest local brands that has reached global recognition”.
The ‘Sri Lankan Milk Coffee’ Biscuit Pudding was inspired by Brew 1867’s theme of the historic overlap of the tea and coffee industries. “We wanted to create a distinctly Sri Lankan coffee taste for our pudding that was reminiscent of our childhood. So this is not your current day double espresso strength coffee kick, but something more akin to the lightly flavoured coffee cake we grew up with.” says the Dush Ratnayake who has succeeded in working his magic once again in carefully crafting these delectable flavours.
So the next time you want to indulge in Bellissima’s newest range of biscuit puddings, you know where to be. The exclusive flavours are now available at Brew 1867 by Dilmah at their outlets at World Trade Centre, Flower Road, and Nawam Mawatha.
