EnerG Sustainables to Host Advanced Solar System Design Training in Colombo
Two-Day Course Aims to Empower Professionals in Solar Energy Optimization
EnerG Sustainables, the leading renewable energy consulting firm, announced its specialized training course aimed at equipping professionals with advanced skills in solar system design and implementation. The two-day course, scheduled for December 7th and 14th, 2024, will be held at the Centre for Housing Planning & Building in Pelawatta, Battaramulla, Sri Lanka. This training program promises to provide invaluable insights and hands-on experience for individuals seeking to enhance their technical proficiency in solar energy.
The Advanced Solar System Design and Implementation Course is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the renewable energy sector. The course focuses not only on the technical aspects of solar system design but also on how these systems can optimize energy use to achieve long-term profitability and sustainability for businesses. The program will cover a comprehensive range of topics, including the basic principles of solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, advanced design methodologies, and the best practices in system installation and maintenance.
Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of solar PV technology, with an emphasis on the selection of appropriate components and technologies for various solar systems. The course will dive deep into solar system design, using industry-standard formulas and methodologies to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Practical software simulations will allow participants to engage directly in the design process, providing hands-on experience with solar system planning and implementation.
One of the unique features of this training program is its focus on real-world applications through two in-depth case studies. Participants will work through the design and simulation of a 5MW ground-mounted solar project and a 2MW roof-mounted solar project.
These case studies will provide a practical understanding of how to apply the principles of solar system design to large-scale projects, helping participants refine their skills in optimizing system performance and solving common challenges faced in the industry.
The course is ideal for a wide range of professionals, including electrical engineers, solar PV installers, renewable energy enthusiasts, and business leaders. Whether you are looking to enter the solar energy field or enhance your existing knowledge, this program will provide you with the expertise to succeed in the growing renewable energy market. The training is particularly valuable for those who wish to integrate solar technology into their operations, optimize energy consumption, and reduce operational costs in their businesses.
The course will be led by an experienced team of experts from EnerG Sustainables itself. Channa Silva, the CEO of EnerG Sustainables, brings over 14 years of experience in solar energy engineering, project development, and management, working with international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), UNIDO, and UNICEF. He will be joined by Prof. Asanka Rodrigo, a professor at the University of Moratuwa, who specializes in electrical installation, safety, and energy economics. The team will also include Naleendra Kularatne, a seasoned solar consultant with over 10 years of experience in Sri Lanka’s solar industry, offering expertise in both local and international solar projects.
EnerG Sustainables is committed to providing high-quality training programs that meet international standards and foster the development of the renewable energy sector. This training course presents a unique opportunity for professionals to acquire the knowledge and practical skills necessary to thrive in the solar energy industry, contributing to the sustainable development of Sri Lanka’s energy landscape.
