DIMO Care Camp and Mahindra Tractor Service Camps Empower Tractor Owners for Maha Season 2025

Supporting Sri Lanka’s farming communities in preparing for the Maha season, DIMO Agribusinesses successfully concluded its tractor service initiatives, the DIMO Care Camp and the Mahindra Tractor Service Camp series, drawing strong participation from tractor owners across the island.
The DIMO Care Camp welcomed tractors of any brand or model, while the Mahindra Service Camp series was dedicated to Mahindra tractor owners. Both initiatives highlighted the importance of proper maintenance in extending the life span and efficiency of tractors, ensuring tractor owners can maximize productivity during the critical Maha cultivation season.
The DIMO Care Camp operated across key agricultural districts, including Vavuniya, Anuradhapura, Ampara, Kurunegala, and Polonnaruwa between July 30th and August 11th, 2025. Meanwhile, the Mahindra Tractor Service Camps were conducted from August 7th to 31st in Kilinochchi, Mannar, Mullaitivu, Ampara, Chenkalady, Monaragala, Wellawaya, Ethimale, Giradurukotte, Rambewa, Padaviya, Horowpathana, Mahawa, Kantale, and Polpithigama.
Participants benefited from detailed tractor inspections, servicing & repairs with technical consultations, and the provision of essential spare parts. Many farmers also gained valuable insights from DIMO’s experienced technicians, equipping them to maintain tractors at optimal performance levels for longer periods.
In addition to technical services, the programs also included community well-being activities. Health clinics were organized alongside the camps, offering blood pressure checks, BMI assessments, and other screenings to raise awareness of the importance of good health for tractor owners during the demanding cultivation season. At the Mahindra camps, medical services such as blood sugar testing and doctor consultations were extended to both tractor owners and the surrounding communities.
Commenting on the initiative, Rajeev Pandithage, Executive Director of DIMO, said:
“Our aim through the DIMO Care Camp and the Mahindra Tractor Service Camp series was to empower tractor owners with the right technical knowledge and practical guidance. We believe that these services will help tractor owners make the most of their tractors with greater efficiency and durability.”
To further enrich the experience, DIMO Care Camp collaborated with FM Derana’s Gamata Derana program, bringing entertainment and interactive games to the venues. This provided participants not only with knowledge and technical support but also with moments of relaxation and enjoyment within their communities.
As the authorized distributor of Mahindra and Swaraj tractors in Sri Lanka, DIMO continues to strengthen its role as a trusted partner for the farming community. With a network of highly skilled technicians and decades of expertise, the company remains committed to uplifting communities in the agriculture sector, driving productivity, and supporting the nation’s food security.
