Paduma Subasinghe to Drive HR Transformation at DFCC Bank
DFCC Bank PLC has announced that HR practitioner Paduma Subasinghe has joined the Bank’s senior management team as Senior Vice President/ Chief Human Resource Officer. He brings over 22 years of experience in human resource management and exceptional individual talents in managing people. In his new role at DFCC Bank, Paduma will leverage his extensive experience to further develop and implement people-centric HR policies, introduce innovative and flexible HR practices, and foster a performance-based organisational culture.
Prior to joining DFCC Bank, Paduma served as People’s Director at Heineken Lanka, a member of the global brewery giant Heineken Group. During his tenure at Heineken Lanka, he was handpicked for the Group’s global Management Team Fast Track programme in recognition of his exceptional talent. His HR experience spans large-scale conglomerates, telecommunication MNCs, export manufacturing, and consultancy. During his career, HR agility and change management emerged as his forte.
Paduma’s versatility and vast exposure across diverse sectors align well with DFCC Bank’s transformational journey, setting bold ambitions that challenge the status quo while caring for its people. He brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the Bank, and his visionary leadership style emphasises collaboration and empowerment, which DFCC Bank values in its drive to promote diversity, equity and inclusivity within the organisation. A product of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (PIM), Paduma’s academic specialisations have also been focused on his passion for managing people. Accordingly, his postgraduate studies focused on human resources, and he is a senior certified professional of the International Public Management Association for HR, USA. He has participated in leadership and management development programmes at leading business schools, such as Harvard, INSEAD, and the Indian School of Business.
