ComBank wins ‘Decade of Excellence’ award for Retail Banking from top UK magazine

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has won the ‘Decade of Excellence’ Award for Retail Banking in Sri Lanka  at the 10th edition of the annual awards of the prestigious UK publication Global Banking & Finance Review.

The magazine honoured Commercial Bank with this award in acknowledgment of the Bank’s performance over the past ten years and its winning streak of the past four years, when it won the title of  ‘Best Internet Bank – Sri Lanka’ from the same awarding body. The ‘Best Internet Bank’ award was presented to the Bank for the high quality of service and innovation provided to its customers via its online and digital banking platforms.

The Global Banking & Finance Awards recognise the innovation, achievement and strategy and progressive and inspirational changes taking place within the global financial community, and are processed free of charge to ensure recognition to companies of all sizes which are prominent in particular areas of expertise and excellence within the financial world.

Commenting on this award, Commercial Bank Managing Director Mr S. Renganathan said: “Consistency is a highly valued virtue in banking, and being recognised for a decade of excellence is therefore a noteworthy achievement. The timing of this award is also impeccable as it comes at a time when Commercial Bank is celebrating 100 years of banking in Sri Lanka.”
