Ceylon Chamber Launches DEI Award 2025 to Recognise Inclusive Business Excellence

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Award 2025, a national initiative aimed at recognising Sri Lankan businesses that are actively embedding inclusion and fairness into the fabric of their organisations.

The Award will honour companies that are taking real, measurable steps to build more diverse teams, equitable systems, and inclusive cultures. Whether through thoughtful hiring practices, inclusive leadership, or creating work environments that welcome people of all backgrounds, the DEI Award seeks to shine a spotlight on those who are raising the bar.

The award will be presented across several categories, including Best DEI Initiative in both the MSME and corporate sectors. To highlight efforts across the country, Regional DEI Awards will be given to top-performing organisations in each of Sri Lanka’s nine provinces. The award also features a series of thematic recognitions for areas such as inclusive workplace culture, gender equality, disability inclusion, women’s empowerment, and youth-focused hiring initiatives.

Organisations that are taking steps – big or small – to foster diversity and inclusion are encouraged to apply. The application process is open until 15th July 2025, and winners will gain national recognition, credibility, and visibility for their leadership in this space.

Applications can be submitted online at https://www.chamber.lk/ccc-projects/dei-champion-awards-2025/. For more information contact Nirosha – ccc.projects@chamber.lk / 0716481143

“The DEI Award 2025 is presented by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Strengthening Social Cohesion and Peace in Sri Lanka (SCOPE) programme — co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Foreign Office, and implemented by GIZ in collaboration with the Government of Sri Lanka — as part of a series of initiatives marking the conclusion of the SCOPE programme.”
