Wins at Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) 2020 – 21
Award-winning Sri Lankan tech firm, Bileeta, was recently recognized on an international platform for its recently developed Vaccine Information Management System, at the APICTA 2020-21 Gala Awards. Bileeta’s “Entution Vesta VIMS – Vaccine Information Management System” received a Merit Award in the Public Sector – Government & Citizen Services Category at the Awards, which was a hybrid event, with Bileeta officials attending virtually.
The awards in this category are presented explicitly for outstanding ICT innovation that helps improve government service delivery or other digital initiatives for the public. Bileeta is the first Sri Lankan company to win an award in this category for over 06 years, highlighting the inherent uniqueness, quality and value that their Entution Vesta VIMS solution provides. Receiving this recognition from APICTA is a testament to Bileeta’s commitment to meet and serve humanitarian needs by continuously creating value added solutions in the health sector to support human wellbeing. Entution Vesta VIMS is one of the more unique examples of such initiatives launched by Bileeta, recently.

The VIMS brings together all key information required for critical decision making to ensure the smooth operation of Sri Lanka’s vaccination drive, which is targeting all Sri Lankans.
Through this solution, all core functions such as registration, appointment scheduling, vaccine administration, vaccine logistics management and actionable intelligent reporting are all combined on one platform, allowing for vaccination drives to be carried out in a near paperless environment. APICTA or the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance is an association of ICT communities nominated by respective member countries, who come together in the spirit of collaboration, forming a cooperative network to promote technological innovation and encourage the development of indigenous ICT solutions for the global market through an annual awards programme. Sri Lanka is one among 16 member nations of APICTA and the awards programme sees large and small businesses, the public sector, start-ups, not for profits and students come together on a single platform to ensure continuous innovation within the industry in the region.
Further, Bileeta’s efforts and achievement have been praised and recognized in the recently concluded NBQSA 2021 awards as Bileeta officially received the APICTA Award Certificate.
