The BOC Little Picasso Art Competition, held from August 10th to September 30th, 2024, was a landmark event marking the 85th Anniversary of BOC, has attracted thousands of young artists across the country. BOC believes this competition with five distinct categories has been a platform to foster creativity of little kids to teenagers.
A Commitment to Creativity and Financial Growth
The BOC Little Picasso Art Competition is more than just an art contest. It is a key initiative in the bank’s broader vision to nurture the next generation of savers and responsible financial citizens. The competition aligns with BOC’s commitment to the society in serving multiple objectives: Enhancing the aesthetic skills of children by encouraging artistic expression, Instilling the habit of saving from a young age, Rewarding and incentivizing Children’s Savings account holders of the Bank.
The competition is linked to BOC’s Children’s Savings Accounts, including BOC Ran Kekulu, Ran Kekulu Smart, Ran Kekulu Smart Investment, Ran Kekulu Foreign Currency Accounts, 14+, 18+, and Athfal accounts. This initiative not only fosters financial literacy among children but also cultivates long-term customer relationships.
Recognizing the Best: Exhibition and Award Ceremony
The BOC Little Picasso Art Exhibition and Award Ceremony is the prestigious platform where young talent is celebrated and rewarded. After an extensive selection process at the national level conducted by a panel of artistic expertise, the finest young artists have been chosen to be honored at this celebratory event. The Award Ceremony will be held on April 3, 2025, at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of the BOC Head Office, with a total of 73 awards presented by invitation only. Alongside this, an Art Exhibition will take place from April 3 to 5, 2025, on the 30th floor of the BOC head office, open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the participants of this competition.
This grand event not only applauds the artistic excellence of Sri Lanka’s youth but also reinforces BOC’s commitment to financial literacy, artistic development, and community engagement. By providing valid participation certificates to every contestant, BOC ensures that each child’s effort and dedication are recognized.
