Bank of Ceylon Joins as Platinum Sponsor of the 35th Anniversary Convention of the Association of Professional Bankers
Bank of Ceylon has partnered as the Platinum Sponsor of the 35th Anniversary Convention of the Association of Professional Bankers (APB) Sri Lanka, showcasing its active role in supporting the country’s banking sector and engaging with professionals shaping the industry’s future.
At a formal ceremony, Mr. W.P. Russel Fonseka General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Ceylon, along with Mr. M.R.N. Rohana Kumara Deputy General Manager – Corporate and Offshore Banking and Vice President APB, Ms. Uthpala Herathrandeny Assistant General Manager – State-Owned Enterprises Relations and council member of APB officially handed over the sponsorship to Mr. Halin Hettigoda President of APB, Mr. B.A.H.S. Preena Immediate Past President of APB, and Mr. Indika Ranaweera Treasurer of APB. Senior officials from both organisations were present, reinforcing the significance of this collaboration.
The APB Anniversary Convention is a major event in Sri Lanka’s banking calendar, bringing together professionals, regulators, and industry experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the financial sector. With discussions spanning economic policies, regulatory frameworks, and the evolving role of banking in a changing financial sector, the convention plays a key role in setting the agenda for the industry’s progress.
