Amãna Bank uplifts Paediatric Ward of Kandy General Hospital

In line with its overall CSR focus towards initiatives that support children, primarily paying attention to their health, education and general well-being amongst other key needs, Amãna Bank recently contributed towards the betterment of the Paediatric Ward of the Kandy General Hospital. As part of its contribution, the Bank provided new mattresses to be used exclusively for the benefit of the ward patients.

Commenting on the project which was initiated by the Bank’s Kandy Branch, Amãna Bank Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Azmeer said “Over the years we have sincerely supported initiatives that improve the health care received by children at hospitals. This contribution will go a long way in ensuring the patients at the ward receive utmost care towards a speedy recovery for which we feel very much gratified and honoured in extending a helping hand.”

Apart from this contribution to the Paediatric Ward of the Kandy General Hospital, towards the betterment of children’s healthcare Amãna Bank has been maintaining the Children’s Ward (Ward 15B) of the Colombo South Teaching Hospital since 2006 and also recently contributed towards the surgery and recovery expenses of 14 year old Thalassemia patient Hasini Rajapaksha.
