Amana Bank triumphs at SLIBFI Awards 2024 with Gold for Entity of the Year

Amana Bank is thrilled to announce its remarkable success at the recently concluded Sri Lanka Islamic Banking and Finance Industry Awards, more popularly known as the SLIBFI Awards 2024, where the bank reinforced its industry leadership by winning the prestigious Gold Award for Entity of the Year. The awards held at Shangri-La Colombo were adjudicated by KPMG and organized by UTO EduConsult.

In addition to winning the pinnacle award of the night, the Bank also secured Gold and Silver Awards for Deal of the Year, recognizing its financing of Vidullanka’s Ground Mounted Horana Solar Power Plant and a solar power facility for a leading rice mill in Polonnaruwa, respectively. Demonstrating its commitment to ESG principles, the Bank also earned the Gold Award in the newly introduced ESG category for Islamic Finance Institutions.

The SLIBFI awards has underscored Amana Bank’s continued efforts to lead in the non-interest based Islamic finance sector, showcasing its commitment to promoting financial inclusivity and sustainability.
