ACBT 91st Mahagastota Festival Of Speed 2025 – A Timeless Test of Speed and Skill

The Ceylon Motor Sports Club is proud to announce the return of Sri Lanka’s most historic motorsport event—the ACBT 91st Mahagastota Festival Of Speed 2025—set to take place on April 5th and 6th, 2025, in the picturesque hills of Nuwara Eliya. Established in 1934, the Mahagastota Hill Climb holds the distinction of being Sri Lanka’s oldest motorsport event, drawing generations of racing enthusiasts and competitors eager to take on its demanding uphill course. This year’s edition promises another exhilarating showcase of skill, precision, and high-octane competition as riders and drivers push their machines to the limit on the legendary track.
The Mahagastota Hill Climb has long been a proving ground for Sri Lanka’s finest racing talent. The course, with its steep inclines, tight corners, and ever-changing mountain weather, offers a unique challenge that separates the best from the rest. Over the years, the event has witnessed record-breaking runs, legendary rivalries, and the rise of motorsport greats.

The ACBT 91st Mahagastota Festival Of Speed 2025 will feature motorcycles taking to the track on April 5th, while modern racing cars will battle for the fastest time on April 6th. With classes spanning from grassroots to high-performance machines, competitors will vie for supremacy, ensuring edge-of-the-seat action for fans and participants alike.

Adding to the spectacle, the 2025 Mahagastota Historic Parade will take place on Saturday, April 5th, featuring 55 classic cars gathering at The Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya, before a parade to the track. Some of Sri Lanka’s rarest and most exquisite historic vehicles will be on display, offering motorsport fans and classic car enthusiasts a glimpse into the golden era of motoring before these machines take on the legendary hill climb.

The Mahagastota Hill Climb is more than just a race—it is a celebration of Sri Lanka’s rich motorsport heritage. Fans and enthusiasts can expect a weekend filled with roaring engines, breathtaking speeds, and an atmosphere charged with passion for motorsport.
