SCU with 25 years of Trust, continues to offer a prestigious academic pathway in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University (UK), enabling students to pursue a world-class recognized Top-Up Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Sri Lanka.
This established programme is designed for students who have completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) or National Diploma in Technology (NDT) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering OR Electrical & Electronic Engineering and are seeking to upgrade their qualification to a full UK Bachelor’s Degree awarded through Liverpool John Moores University.
The Top-Up Degree pathway provides students with the opportunity to strengthen their academic foundation and enhance practical engineering competencies in areas such as Electrical Power Systems, Electronics Systems, Control Systems Engineering, Modern Technological Applications and Engineering Management. The curriculum is structured to meet international academic standards while ensuring relevance to current industry requirements. Students of this top-up BEng (Hons) degree program, individually perform an Engineering project, orally present the work, demonstrate the product and submit a project report. A few of such recent projects are, ‘Cyber Physical Robotic Systems’; ‘Autonomous Drone’; ‘AI Bartender’; ‘Blockchain based Anti-theft system for CAN bus vulnerabilities’.
